8" Inch Tudor Rustic Black Iron Gate Latch & Door Handle Right Hand
This premium UK quality traditional reproduction cast iron latch door & gate handle from the Tudor collection in a superior UV protected matt black finish, is hand crafted from malleable iron with a zinc phosphate treatment for additional rust and corrosion resistance that makes these handles an ideal choice for coastal areas, and perfect for cottage style interiors and period properties.
This reproduction antique Tudor door latch handle back plate has a width of 152mm by 102mm high by 5mm thick, left to right screw centres are 130mm, top to bottom screw centres are 82mm, the total projection from the door face is 42mm with a handle diameter of 72mm, the sprung latch bar is 180mm long with a 45mmm projection from the backplate. The rectangular keep is 99mm high by 23mm wide with 83mm screw centres. The handle on rose is 72mm in diameter with 64mm diameter daisy rose and a projection of 36mm.
This door latch is handed for doors hinged on the right that open towards you, and is suitable for doors and gates up to 54mm thick, and supplied with colour matched stainless steel slot headed screws for an authentic look and additional corrosion resistance.
PRO TIP: Use the spare hardened steel screw to ensure the drilled pilot holes will accept the slotted head stainless steel screws with out deforming the heads (especially important in aged timber, oak, and other hardwood's). When fitting to timber doors, make sure any bare wood exposed by cutting or machining is properly sealed with high quality solvent based paint or wood-stain to prevent any moisture ingress that may lead to further issues.
