36" Inch Bronze Weather Deflector With Seal

The Expelex weather deflector & seal in bronze anodised finish, is an ideal alternative to unsightly timber weather bars, and will provide a neat and unobtrusive appearance with improved performance over traditional weather bars, with a rubber sealing gasket that helps reduce the; ingress of water, draughts, and the transmission of sound.

Suitable for both inward and outward opening doors the Exitex Expelex deflector is suitable for inward and outward opening doors. This weather deflector is finished in bronze and features colour matched surface mounted fixings and is supplied with end caps that eliminate sharp corners and raw edges.

This Expelex deflector is 914mm long and suitable for doors up to 3" wide. This weather bar can be used in conjunction with a threshold water bar, or draught excluder for maximum effectiveness.

Bronze Expelex Deflector installation instructions:

• Measure the width of the door in the closed position, or the width of the door frame rebates if the door is inward opening.
• Remove the rubber seal from the aluminium carrier.
• Cut the aluminium carrier (6mm less to allow for the end caps to be fitted) with a fine tooth hacksaw, and file the end smooth. Cut the rubber seal refit and attach the end caps.
• Screw the Deflector in to position, ensuring the rubber seal lightly contacts the threshold when the door is closed.
• Ensure fixing screws are inserted within 1" (25mm) from the edge of the Deflector (drill extra hole if necessary).
