24" Heavy Duty Straight Crook & Band Hinge Zinc Plated

This 24 inch lift off strap hinge is a heavy-duty pattern 1055 nickel plated steel hinge ideal for garage doors, gates, outbuilding doors, and utility doors. The zinc plate finish will help prevent corrosion, and can be over-painted using an etching primer if required.

This hook & band hinge is manufactured from 5mm thick by 48mm (1.7/8") wide sturdy steel. It has an overall length of 62cm and is approximately 24 inches to the centre of the locating socket. The hook features a 15.5mm (5/8") diameter gudgeon pin with a projection of 50mm, the backplate is 48mm x 165mm long.

The straight band, when mounted on the gudgeon pin, will have an overall length of 63cm, and will be projected 16mm (5/8") from the mounting position on the gate post or frame. If all the mounting pins are fitted pointing upwards, the gate/door can be lifted off when open. Installing with one pin pointing down will prevent removal.
