Double & Single Action Spring Hinges
This category of spring hinges are becoming ever more popular in buildings that require self closing fire doors in both commercial and domestic applications.
Spring hinges incorporate internal springs to automatically close the door, they can be single or double action, the latter allows the door to be opened both ways.
This range of spring hinges provide an unobtrusive solution for closing doors and are CE marked and rated for use with FD30 (30 minute) fire doors.
Unlike other concealed door closers, spring hinges can be adjusted with out having to remove the door, and are available in a choice of finishes including, polished chrome, polished brass, grey enamel and satin stainless steel.
It is common to fit three hinges per door leaf, however for most applications only two of the hinges will need to be tensioned and the third can be a companion hinge. Adjustment is made with an Allan key when the door is hung in the frame, and replacement pins are available separately on the following link pack of three spring hinge pins. |
