Counter Flap Hinges & Catches
Counter flap catches and hinges are often used on bars and counter tops to provide access through the bar or counter top.
Counter flap hinges feature a double hinged floating knuckle pivot that sits flush with the top surface of the hinge when in the closed position and allows for the hinge to flip over 180 degrees. More importantly counter flap hinges allow square edged counter flaps to close due to the slack play in the hinge knuckle, and are self supporting when fully open.
Counter flap catches are gravity operated when the flap is lifted to the open position, and the flap is released with the counter flap catch button is lifted, it is usual that the counter flap catch is positioned so that the bar flap is just over 90 degrees in the open position. |
