2XG Pattern is a classic door design that will never go out of style and provides plenty of natural light. 2XG is an acronym for '2 x panel 1 glass'. Redwood or red deal is a knotty pine which provides a cost-effective solid timber door with no veneers, Redwood 2XG doors are a perfect choice for outbuildings, garages, and utility rooms. These exterior doors feature traditional Ovolo beading, and the one-light design works with all property types. You can also remove the bottom panel and replace it with glass.
2XG Red Deal Doors
We manufacture this range of 2XG doors from premium solid red deal unveneered timber components, and the sturdy glued and dowelled stub-mortise & tenon construction offers maximum trim-ability. These doors are only suitable for solvent-based paint system finishes in your choice of colour; please ensure you fully finish the doors before installation and refer to our Door Handling & Finishing Guidelines.
Redwood 2XG Doors
Redwood 2XG doors are available unglazed with a fast delivery for those in a rush, or pre-glazed in our factory in your choice of clear or obscure textured toughened safety glass, but please allow a minimum of 4–6 weeks for manufacture and delivery. Georgian wired glass is also a possibility in this range for added security, please contact us for details.
Exterior 1-Light Doors
The exterior 1-light door range, which comes in two sizes, 30 x 78 inches (762 x 1981mm) and 33 x 78 inches (838 x 1981mm). Both are functional and reasonably priced, and fit most standard door frames. External 1-light doors do provide natural light; however, the single glazing can be prone to condensation in winter months, especially when installed in centrally heated properties, so we do recommend fitting with our range of draught excluders. The limited door warranty provides peace of mind. |
