Suffolk style latches or rim mounted door furniture are best suited to this style of door, a lock block is supplied to mount the latch or lock.

Ledged & braced cottage Oak doors are suitable to be cut down to accommodate the non-standard door frames sizes found in many period properties in Shelf. Featuring random width tongue and grooved planks, and glued and nailed ledges that extend to the edge of the door that allow the fitting of standard butt hinges if required. The bracing pack is supplied separately and will need to be cut to size, bracing should be fitted, so they point up and away from the hinges to help support the weight of the door and to maintain aesthetics.
